About Our School: Located amid beautiful coastlines and quaint pastoral towns in Southeastern Connecticut, Saint Bernard School is a co-educational day school for students in grades 6-12. Saint Bernard has maintained a prominent place in educational circles for over sixty years. It has held fast to a classical education that provides a strong foundation for its students while seeking a progressive path that incorporates new research and best practices in education.

Our approach is holistic – understanding the importance of the development of the whole person in mind, body, and spirit. A comprehensive education for our young men and women is our mission, and we believe there is nothing more important. Taking advantage of contemporary methods, materials, and technology, our students pursue academic excellence while growing in faith and service to others. Our teachers and school counselors help direct students through the educational process by overseeing their academic lives, finding their strengths, challenging and supporting them in their decisions, and stimulating their interests. In addition to 46 Advanced Placement or Honors courses, Saint Bernard offers 23 varsity sports, 43 extracurricular clubs and leadership organizations, and a strong commitment to community service. Our students thrive through both a transformative academic experience and a balanced, comfortable, and enriching life outside of the classroom.

Successful students are happy, healthy, confident, and well supported. Saint Bernard School provides a safe, nurturing learning environment that encourages students to learn, grow, and discover their best self. It is our promise, that in partnership with you, your son or daughter will enter university life, and more importantly, adulthood well prepared to make the world a better place.
